Allen is the CEO of No Place Like.
No Place Like has been chosen, as part of the Fall batch of Google's 8th Adopt a Startup program, as one of the top 30 startups in Europe. It's the first year that Google have internationalised their program, meaning the competition was even more fierce. This comes soon after the company's premier service, creating augmented reality content for homeware retailers, launched on September 17th. Multiple retailers have commissioned 3D content from No Place Like and with Google's help they aim to increase their market presence in Ireland and the UK. If you haven't hear of them already, they make augmented reality content for homeware retailers such as EZ Living. With their software you can see items in your home in 1:1 scale before purchasing them, something that just about every home owner has wished existed.
The program culminates with a competition for up to €240,000 in Google Cloud credits, something No Place Like are are eager to put to use as they build out their technology platform. You can read more about the program on Silicon Republic, Irish Tech News and Goose.ie and of course, the Adopt a Program Site: https://events.withgoogle.com/adoptastartup/
